Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted May 1, 2007 Leadership Team Share Posted May 1, 2007 I've received from Caterham a new o-ring pack to try to stop the d/s tower spraying oil out - are there any tips or things to be aware of when fitting? Stu. www.superse7ens.co.uk..........the rebuild 😬
Sandy
Stu, Is this for the bottom plate or are there others too? I fitted this O ring (well, more of a square really) last year and just screwed back in place with care with no issues or leaks Sandy
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted May 1, 2007 Author Leadership Team Share Posted May 1, 2007 Top of the tower. I've fitted all 5 new o-rings tonight and seems fine. Easier than I thought  Stu.

tricky dicky
Do these fit under the bolts into the plate on the top part of the tower? Rich
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted May 1, 2007 Author Leadership Team Share Posted May 1, 2007 Rich, sounds like yours is the later design (same as I fitted to my last 7) and is supposedly redesigned not to leak. The original tower has a screw cap in place of your bolt-on cap - one o-ring at the base of the male threads, one at the base of the female threaded cap, one on the centre pipe insert, then 2 small ones for the breather take-off and the dip stick.I can't remember how the new one is sealed, but I do remember the breather take-off turning rather too easily! Stu.
