Nifty
I saw mentioned on here using an 82o thermostat in my R400 engine. I asked CC about providing one with my latest parts order and they said they only do 88o or 74o thermostats. Can anyone provide me with the necessary details (manufacturer/part no.) to go and buy one from Halfrauds etc. 🤔 Keep off the straight and narrow 😬

6speedmanual
I'd stick to a 74oC. 6SpeedManual *tongue*There's no such thing as too much BHP per Ton 😬
MAK
Nifty in my 1800 K, I run 82 deg Thermostat and found mine by going looking at all models on Halfords shelf. The Model I use is HTK605  Its normally fitted in Honda accord - I think. Malcolm

7 wonders of the world
Use the PRRT option that runs an 82 degree stat and removes all the problems of the OE system too. *thumbup*  Too young to be old !

Bertfatal
Robmar, What do you think of the QED remote thermostat? Any photos of the installation? Bertfatal
Mick Day
*wavey*Can echo the Halfords part number, HTK 605, for an 82 deg thermostat to fit a K. Did the same: opened loads of boxes to find one of the correct size.
robmar
bertfatal - not sure - not totally plumbed in yet, the kit you get doesn't have the correct t-piece size for a caterham setup so have ordered some hose connectors whihc will hopefully sort it out i have some pictures of another installation so will try and publish somehwere the real idea was to fit it to reduce effort of changing one again if i had to, but with the help of a friend we had the old one out and replaced in < 1 hour, supposed to be a pig with a dry sump but wasn't that bad..... rob
