Peter T Posted April 8, 2002 Share Posted April 8, 2002 Having just purchased a brand new pair of 45DCOE, i fitted them to the car and tried to get it to run,eventually it spluterred into life however all was not well. Two of the cylinders refused to idle smoothly, investigation led to the carbs, upon stripdown i was horrified to find pieces of brass/alloy shards in almost every ofrice, after cleaning and resetting the float heights all was well. It seems that now they are made in Spain,quality seems to have suffered compared to my originalls. Has anyone experianced similar problems with new DCOE?
