Modified XE Cylinder Head

Recommended Posts

I am selling the cylinder head from my recently built all-steel engine.

This may sound strange, but after 2 years my Swindon cylinder head is read ( not their fault its been built in stages as fund permit ).

Cylinder head has under <100 miles on it, having recently completed the car. The car has run for 2 15 minute sessions at Bedford as a gentle settling in period, having been run-in on the rolling road by Steve Greenald.

The engine was carefully assembled to the highest standards. Excepting the main casting which has been crack tested, all of the components are brand new and no expense has been spared.

The head is standard, not Coscast, and includes;-

1. 1 mm over standard size valves.

2. Solid lifters

3. Ported

4. External oil gallery pipe

5. Kent veniers

6. Kent AST 1616 race camshaft (314/296 duration) and 11.98 and 11.73 lift - inlet and exhaust respectively.

The head is not Touring Car spec, but should provide ability to deliver 250 BHP on TB's.

I am open to sensible offers please over £1300 and appreciate this will be less than the high cost of new components and professional assembly.

I am open to timing as well.

Head is currently on the car and can be heard running.

Please mail me if you are interested.
