medonaldson
Hi, I have read the previous posts for track day insurance. I have only managed to get a quote from Towergate / Comp car insurance. I will be taking part in the Cadwell Park day on 23 April, and need to get my insurance sorted! They have quioted me £97, with a 10% excess on the value of my Cat.......that seems expensive (at my renewal I will get it included) does anyone have any thoughts on where else I could try / what experience and cost have other had please. Thanks. Mark K7 GDR '94 1.4k Supersport
Support Team Shaun_E Posted April 13, 2007 Support Team Share Posted April 13, 2007 Who are you insured with for road use? If it's Egger Lawson then you should have free trackday cover for up to 4 trackdays. Some of the other insurers might also cover you for a top up fee of about £40/£50 - my policy with Adrian flux allows me to do this and I am pretty sure that Haggerty do as well. I understand that policies with Footman James may cover trackday's as well. If you are with a mainstream insurer then Competition Car Insurance are probably your only option. medonaldson
Hi, Im insured with Adrian Flux (without track day) and they have told me that I cannot add to this and referred me to competiton motor insurance. It might be worth me calling them again to double check!
Alan Bowler
I think Egger Lawson would sell you one off cover. At a guess, I would think around 50% insure for track days, mainly because Egger Lawson/Caterham Insurance include 4 "free" days. AB
