Dave, what I meant was the oil starvation could occur when the 5L of oil in the belltank has been pumped to the engine and is stuck in the head, the corner of the sump, etc and there is none left. I agree this is unlikely but apparently it's far from unknown. I'm sure you'd have to try hard but evidently from Oily's comments a few have done.
