alan7
My trusty banner has finally given out it's final amps. Went to start the car on Thursday & it only just managed to turn the engine over once! 😔 Got it started via jump leads & it was OK after a 60 mile blat. Put the conditioner on when I got home so it's been on for 3 days. Just tried starting it & not a peep! 😔 🙆🏻 Think it's time for a new one cos this one is at least 5 years old. Now do I replace it with a banner or something similar or go for a bit of weight saving? Considered opinions gratefully accepted. Gridgway
I'd just bang another Banner in, they work very well. It seems too much hassle to bodge, I mean engineer another battery in unless you are on a serious weight saving kick. Graham
CageyH
Banner is probably cheaper too. Only dead fish go with the flow....!
alan7
Looks like a Banner then. Question 2 where's the best place to get one from (South Wales Based) How do you get the dead flies off your teeth....... 😬 R5AAH
Gridgway
Banner are good if you phone them up and ask for your local stockist..they seem to know! Graham
strongy
Alan I went for one of these here for the cca, also smaller and lighter than the battery it replaced. Great for my xflow, after 2 years it still seems to have ample power, I do leave it on the conditioner when not in use for 2+ days. bertie
I had exactly the same on mine last week. Conditioner is on it all the time and it turns out when I unscrewed the plugs on the top it had dried out. Topped it up with some acid and De ionise water and it's right as rain now. Not suggesting it'll be sorted for the next 3 years but it's worth a check.
