Martin S.
I've just fitted a set of ARP big end bolts. Question is are they really needed and has anyone seen the effects of not fitting them on a high reving engine......It's a Zetec by the way. Martin S.
Susser, Nope I just turned a drill by hand in the cap to make a small chamfer to ensure the bolt head sat flat against the cap face (the ARP bolt have a slight radius between the shank and the head) but dont think I needed to. Just did it to be on the safe side. I didn't have to ream the caps like some say is needed.
