Steve Kirk Posted April 26, 2002 Share Posted April 26, 2002 Mine has a chip in it about half an inch from the bottom, and not in the area swept by the wipers. My MoT is due in July, any ideas if this will pass? I remember hearing that if the chip is not deemed to be obstructing driver's vision and not growing then it's OK, or is this just urban myth? Eugene Posted April 29, 2002 Share Posted April 29, 2002 I recently rebuilt my windscreen and used a local galzier to supply standard laminated glass as used for flat glass in cars for 25 quid. no problem and stronger than the Caterham heated stuff (its thicker, so be aware of this when fitting to the surround).
