KenEvans
I need to soften the front end roll of my Superlight R a fraction to change the slow speed turn-in from good to absolutely perfect. It just understeers a bit on entry, and I know I'm not trying to go in too fast. I've currently got a 19mm yellow and am considering going to a 16mm red, I think it's that subtle a tweek required. I've considered an adjustable arb but I wouldn't know what angle the blade would need to be set at to replicate the 19mm roll stiffness so that I could back it off a tad and I don't have enough time to experiment before my first very important hillclimb. Any comments? Thanks Ken
Dave Wilson
Ken, for what it's worth I would go with the fixed 16mm Bar to try at Loton, keep the 19mm with you, it only takes 20mins to change if you don't like it. I think you could spend the best part of the day trying to set up an adjustable bar, and whilst I want to beat you, I'd hate to do it just because you've upset the balance of the car. KenEvans
Hello Dave! We rarely see you on here :) Sounds good advice to me coming from a Gould GR61X techie
Englishmaninwales
Ken I spoke with Freestyle about this very thing recently as I am thinking of buying an adjustable ARB. Gary May advised me that the fully stiff setting = red arb and the fully soft is very slightly stiffer than the orange arb. Malcolm
