greg Posted April 2, 2002 Share Posted April 2, 2002 Dear All, Whats involved with a skin (2 side panels) and a re spray ? Does the car need to be completly stripped (cockpit included) of all Ali ? Do you need to remove the engine + box as well as all the pockey out bits ? Oh, lastly how much does this all add up to (assuming a nice BRG colour) ? Thanks ..... TonyC Posted April 2, 2002 Share Posted April 2, 2002 I would be interested to know too, the corrosion on my 96k is where the lower side skins wrap around the chassis, sooner rather than later they will need replacing, is it an Arch job can TSK do it?. Rob Walker Posted April 3, 2002 Share Posted April 3, 2002 I think it has to be a full strip down as the chassis has to be inverted during the reskin/spray. TSK will strip for you and I think they charger around £200. To reskin the side panels and spray in a plain colour allow about £1200 to £1400. He does a superb job. EFA Posted April 3, 2002 Share Posted April 3, 2002 TSK do not repanel chassis. They will also quote on each car on an individual basis, depending on the state of the car. The only places who will replace the side panels I know of are Arch, Caterham @ Dartford, and maybe, although I anm not 100% sure, Redline Components. Tony is only a paint shop SFAIAA.
