THAT Blade probably would *smile*

There is no way I can afford all that Reverie lovelyness (their carbon intake stuff would cost more than the entire engine and dry sump put together *smile*).

The point being, if you could transplant a 2006/7 blade engine - you would have the natasp BEC to rule them all *cool* *cool*

It is categorically not the last one - it was ordered after I ordered mine, but on the road before mine, (for publicity reasons) and my order was the second order James took, back in Autumn 2001. 😶‍🌫️ Either way it's a very nice example.

Paul I thought you were keeping a register of C-FB's 🤔

As soon as you rip the 98 engine out of any of the 25 or so they would become just another bitsa IMHO.

Mine made just about 140 on Emeralds rollers on regular unleaded and although another 35 would be nice I'm not sure it would give me that much more enjoyment. On track it seems about r400 pace, which seems a nice place to be, all things considered.

The value lies in keeping them reasonably std and in good condition.

The Register - Ah ! I thought that this would come back and haunt me ! After suffering all sorts of PDA malaises I have found one from 2005. Which I am embarrassed to say does not have the details of Andrews car on it. However if all those with Whiting Fireblades out there will e-mail the details of their cars to me I will update it and circulate it

*arrowup* runs after Gambo 😬 😬

I think more should be made of the performance, it is in between R300/400. So he has priced it at R300 money.

Having said that, until you have driven or been a passenger in one (I have done both *smile*), they are really fantastic.

This one is road registered and has all the extras, so I say it is worth between £16/18K.

I'm with Mark - £18k is probably about right. Just need the one person who is willing to spend a few more grand on having the ultimate Fireblade, rather than the people looking to buy one of the other "lesser" 24( *wink*) for £14k-£15k.

The car is still priced below what it cost me to buy a decent specced blade new several years ago (with just a few of the extras), and I'd imagine that it's cost well over £30k since new with all those extras and upgrades.

EvoDunc knows how much the car cost to build - I am sure it was north of £30k. It's a specialist car, like all such cars there's a limited market full stop, regardless of price....

Bride's Busa was not an official Cateram car, had had the arse ragged off it (successfully, granted) and as such is not comparable, I'd argue.

Steve, I'd have to join the Essex clan then wouldn't I...had I not bought the R500 I would've been in there with an offer for sure *thumbup*

Alicat, on the basis that the two clean cars sold very quickly and I'm guessing that they won't have had carbon or fancy wheels, I'd say that "if" this Meaden car were priced at £18k, it'd be about the right money wouldn't it?

My own reckoning on this cars real world value is probably £18k, however you can't blame the guy for trying it at a higher price first there may just be someone out there who 'really' wants that particular car and is prepared to 'really' pay for it. After all to an ever increasing number of people £21k is'nt a great deal of cash especially when you consider all the Supercars that would be left in this cars wake.
