Area Representative z7 Posted March 14, 2007 Area Representative Share Posted March 14, 2007 I need to replace (only) two of my KN Minator wheels. Currently, I have 6x13 all round. I'm thinking of getting 7x13 for the rears. I have to admit this is only an aesthetic choice. I think the rear wings look so empty. I have a Ford live axle. What are the pros and cons of changing the width? Yes, tyres could cost more. What impact will it have on the offset? Is there a relationship between the offsets of the rear and front wheels? What other considerations do I need to take in to account? F355GTS
Adil When you order the 7" the offset will be different from the 6". I can't remember the offset for 7's but K&N, Polleys etc can advise. You may have th machine the back edge of the Dedion tube/ ears depending on age as the inside edge of the rim may contact it Other than that you'll have a bit more rear grip, which may be good or bad depending on your POV 😬 Mark
Area Representative z7 Posted March 14, 2007 Author Area Representative Share Posted March 14, 2007 Thanks, Mark, I forgot to mention, I have a Ford live axle. I'll edit my original post. From this site here, they come in a choice of offset. If they don't fit without modification, I'll stick with 6". If I have more grip, does that mean I'll have to get more power to compensate 🤔 😬 Adil
Mick Day
Adil 205/60/13 tyres will fit on 6" rims. Fills out the rear wings a treat. Mick

I.Mupferit
Adil, I had 205/60/13's on the rear of my old car if you can recall that and as Mick says, they filled the rear wings out really well.
