apertsev
Any idea about 2.0 I-4 DOHC VTEC Honda Engine on a Caterham? I mean F20C 240bhp 9000rpm red-line, which is used on Honda S2000...
julians
Dont know about fitting one in a caterham, but I know of one thats in a westf1eld. Goes quite well.
Graham Perry
Is it not the case that while the Honda engine in theory looks good,it is very tall and very heavy ?
apertsev
No, as far as I know the engine it small, just very expensive...
murph7355
Have a search on the forum as it has been asked before... Don't some Honda motors rotate the opposite way so you then need to phaff around with the transmission bits?
Swiss_Tony
The S2000 engine is about the only Honda engine which goes the right way. Am I right in thinking it has an alloy head and block? James
EFA
It is unique for Honda in that it runs in the correct direction, but is too tall to fit below the bonnet line. It does however produce more power and very nearly a smuch torque as an R500 engine, so who knows what it could do on throttle boddies?? Bonnet bulge anyone??? Then theres the isssue that its a Jap engine in a British car (yuk!), having said that however , will the K not be finding its way onto driveways in Bejings suburbs soon??? EFA
Er I think the original question asked it it had been fitted to a Caterham, not a W*******d replica Fat Arn Visit the K2 RUM siteid=red> See the Lotus Seven Club 4 Counties Area Website hereid=green>
