Dickie Normuss
A guy in our office got a MK1 Elise about 6 months ago, first performance car. Speaking to him this morning he says he's warped the discs which he's a bit irritated about because it's 'supposed to be ok for track work so should handle Milton Keynes ok' . He didn't help himself when he then said he's managed to warp discs on every car he's ever had so I'm guessing it's his driving style ❗ He can fit new ones himself but wants to know if they're a Lotus part or robbed from something else 🤔 VX HPC - Loud and proud here Watch out, whatever hits the fan will not be distributed evenly Edited by - ric on 8 Mar 2007 08:56:
I reply to every thread
Lotus only - Eliseparts or there's a guy on Ebay that does them. This is assuming he has steel brakes not MMC - the MMC discs are no longer available
prs
Genuine Lotus discs are £100 each , EBC on ebay are about £130 a pair. Make sure he gets S1 as S2 are different. Correct size is 282.5mmdiam and 26mm thick, service limit is 24.9mm. I'm just about to change all 4 on SWBO'S S1. Car has covered 40k without any issue of warping, how's he done that? check wheel bearings and balljoints as these could have play inducing wobble under braking. Mrs Kipper
Ric: I know someone who has 2 brand new discs for sale. I will check the details and come back to you. These are in Towcester at the moment so not a million miles away from Milton Keynes. Mrs K

bertie
Does he put the handbrake on after he comes off track? That's a great way of warping disks.
