Mark H Posted March 28, 2002 Share Posted March 28, 2002 HELP , the clutch has just gone this morning. Removed engine[now have a very sore back] one of the springs has broken on the friction plate. Can any one tell me the ford part nos. for this part. Need help asap. as i fly to the states tommorow ! thanx Mark. 07814477964. roger7 Posted March 29, 2002 Share Posted March 29, 2002 Exactly the same thing happened to my 1996 1600 x/f Classic Sprint - just a few months after I bought it and with only 3 k on the clock though this included an Academy series. The part no. is HK8941 - cost in Aug 2000 was £81 incl. VAT. I only got the correct clutch at the second attempt. Mark H Posted April 1, 2002 Author Share Posted April 1, 2002 thanx for the replys guys, i got a new friction plate it only cost 12 quid exchange. got it back in the car . but after all that i can not get the car to start, don,t think i,ve damaged anything but it refuses to start ,no spark ,checked every thing i could .biggest problem is that im in the states right now so theres nothing i can do. i,l just have to wait till i get back before i can start thinking about it.
