Nifty
Have just receieved a new CRB from CC Midlands. It is an SKF one made in France (so the box says). It is slightly different to the old one but I am aware that they have changed, for the better I believe. However, the contact face of the bearing has about 5mm play where it can lift off the rollers whilst a play with it in my hand ... is this normal 🤔 Does this emphasise the need to have the bearing under a small amount of pressure to the clutch when it is engaged 🤔 Keep off the straight and narrow 😬
Rob Walker
Yep play is normal. You can in fact separate the two halfs of the bearing and repack it with some high spec synth grease after its seen some use.
