lowlander
Hi there, I am currently saving for a seven with a view to buying in August / September this year. However, if anyone has a ridiculously cheap seven (as in less than 7K) for sale now then I might be interested. I’m not expecting the car to be immaculate for this money but it must be complete with a long MOT, weather gear and good bodywork. Condition is more important than spec so basic crossflow / Vauxhall in a tidy car is preferable to a highly tuned crossflow / vauxhall in a tatty car. Thanks and all the best. Martin. Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted February 12, 2007 Area Representative Share Posted February 12, 2007 Just keep scanning the adverts Lowlander. You may find it difficult to fit all those criteria within you budget! GJT Crossflow 524 star of the show
MusCat
I picked up a car for £7.5k 2 years ago - a 1989 dry sumped 1700 x-flow with a reasonable spec, it's not pristine but not bad for it's age. I've noticed a few around the £7k mark since so it's not a crazy idea - just keep looking . One for £8k here - http://www.blatchat.com/t.asp?Id=123372. And one advertised on Pistonheads for £6.5k. You are at the bottom end of the market so choice is limited and I would wait and get what you really want, rather than rush to buy now and be disappointed. Sheds Moderator
This is entry level and choice may be limited, I'd be heading North to look at this one. Good luck.
