Lardy
I have purchased a RiF fixed version which came with Racetech mirrors. My car has been to CC to get some bodywork done so I asked them to fit the screen whilst there. On collecting the car CC told me they didn't fit the screen as they said "the side mirrors wouldn't fit without looking wonky " Anyone else know WTF they are talking about 😬 😳 *wink* 😳 😬 R400SV 200BHP OF MAYHEM

Graham King
Lardy, is the Fixed version same as Interchangeable, if so then fitting is pretty straightforward but the mirrors do take some careful positioning to get them to sit straight. Personally I would suspect that CC didn't want to fit a part that wasn't supplied by themselves and then potentially be liable if you weren't happy with the results so came up with a valid sounding excuse. Even if the fixed version is different then I would guess the main body curves are similar so comments about mirror positioning still hold true. Graham. RiF
They just did not want to fit it!!!! This is an interchangeable aero. We have sold hundreds with the mirrors. Yes you do need to find the right position and I have seen them in many different places but the do fit to look good and suit any driver. Where are you? I may be able to suggest someone. CageyH
Richard, i thought there was a "suggested" area where it is easy to fit the mirrors, as it is flatter? Only dead fish go with the flow....

Simon K
Someone might shoot me down in flames for this but I'll say it anyway. I spent a long time trying to get my mirrors set up on my RIF aero and had to walk away and calm down (I was at the stage that the only thing left was to use a large hammer to make them fit somehow! I'm not the most patient person) Anyway whilst thinking it through I unscrewed the mirrors from the mountings and swapped them over, this sorted the problem instantly and gave the adjustment in the correct direction. Could this be the problem or maybe I've had too much of this
susser
My biggest problem with trying to fit my RiF is getting the blinking flip rubber piping to fit/stick. I think the mirrors do only want to sit in one position, as Richard suggests. It's not exactly flat.
RobW
Haven't fitted mine yet, but I think you need to cut and glue the rubber carefully onto the bottom of the aero !???
