Ian Hayward
Hi, Does anyone local to Farnborough (Hants) have an engine hoist that they can loan/hire me for a day or two this week so I can remove the knackered engine from my Superlight and get it up to DVA to be fixed. Thanks Ian

Ian Hayward
How about 1 person and two small children? at least they could stand inside the engine bay to help Hopefully the children won't be needed as I'm picking Adam's hoist up tonight. Ian Hayward
She won't even come out in the car, nevermind helping me take it apart to spend more money fixing the bl**dy thing 😬
Big Brother
Ian, When are you thinking of taking the engine out? I'm sure a few of us "locals" would be willing to give you a hand. Ian Hayward
Steve, As the kids have just been having their sleep, I've managed to strip down most of the wiring etc. All that's left in the car is the engine block (head already removed), with the Apollo and alternator (still need to drain the oil). I'm picking up the hoist from Adam tonight so hopefully I will be removing the block tomorrow evening. If you, or anyone who knows what they are doing (because I don't ) are about a 'hand' would be great. To be honest getting it out should be easy, its putting it back in that I might need a hand with! Big Brother
Ian, I should be free from around 19:30 tomorrow evening. Blatmail me your address and I'll gladly pop over. I don't have much experience of the K series but I've taken quite a few engines out (and put them back in ) some of them even worked afterwards 😬 Steve SE7EN-UP! Tony Whitley
I do have experience of removing K series and I work in Farnborough Blatmail me your address and I'll come over and help. If nothing else it maintains a majority of K owners over Zetec owners
Ian Hayward
Steve & Tony, That would be great, 19:30 is spot on as it lets me get the kid's in bed. I will blatmail my details. Well I know that this engine doesn't work at the moment so I'm sure you can't make it any worse Steve Thanks Ian
