Tank Protection Kit

Just looked at my SL invoice (from June last year), the cost then was £102 - I assume you are talking about the honeycomb protection.

It's actually quite a lot of money for what you get, simply some honeycomb panels cut roughly to fit and glued in place. I think it would help a bit in the event of a rear shunt but if I was placing my order again, I think I'd go for the bag tank as it is a better way to protect yourself. I think you have to live without a fuel gauge then though, but if you can do that, that's what I'd do.

Tank bag needs repalcing periodically I believe at least for competition use.

The honeycomb kit I have is not that crude. Honey comb is quite expense as a raw material.

It still won't help a front tow hook intrusion from 'Mr not looking where he's driving his tin top' but will help a Caterham nose up the rear end or a backward trip into the tyre wall at speed.
