bertie
As per the thread title, anyone recommend anywhere near Derby that could fit and time in correctly a pair of vernier puleys on my R400? Also, what cams are in the R400? Presume you need to tell them so they can time them properly. Cheers

Delberts Wallet
Rob, I could fit them but not able to time them. Not much help really. Sold the Lambo yet? Gareth Blue and Carbon 6 Speed 1.8 Supersport here
neilg
Try QED nr Loughborough or Power Train Products who did my verniers on my 1.6k conversion. They aren't far away. They know all about k series .
Area Representative Richard Price Posted January 31, 2007 Area Representative Share Posted January 31, 2007 Bertie, Is Stoke (well, Newcastle actually) close enough? Unlike Gareth, who can only fit them, I could fit and time them. I've done a few now. Have you got the verniers? Did you just want the job done, or did you want to be a part of the proccess? I understand the R400 cams are standard VHPD cams. If so, I've got a record somewhere of what I set a set of these to a while ago. I'll look it out. Delberts Wallet
Richard, Fancy doing mine for me then? No doubt Sandy will try and jump on the back of this too as he want to check his timing on the SLR.
bertie
So basicly it's all round to Richards for a vernier setting evening then!!! Seriously, I might well take you up on that offer Richard, might just have a word with Dave Andrews to see how much it would be to supply and fit a set, plus the likely benefits and the possobility of tweaking the MBE ECU. Thanks chaps.
bertie
Gareth, no the Lambo is still very much in residence. I did have a wobble and think I ought to be more sensible, but I'm over it now!! Three 2 seaters currently......let the madness continue.

Area Representative Nick Chan Posted February 1, 2007 Area Representative Share Posted February 1, 2007 I'd use the Caterham Westlands service department - in joke, for Richard's helpful abilities As he says there have been a few cars round there that have been sorted
