alextangent
Yes, anudder tyre question... Going to invest in some sticky A021Rs from George Polley. Currently got 185/70R13s under clams; would 205/60R13s a) fit b) be sensible c) anything else? The rolling radius appears to be within a couple of %, so no probs there. Comments? Mick Day
The answer of course is why? However both will give near the same rolling radius. 185/70's will be cheaper, much cheaper. 205/60's will be of little benefit unless you have over 190BHP or so. But yes the 205/60's will fit under clams & they can be fitted to 6"wheels.
alextangent
Altough A021Rs are available in 70s, it's an increasingly rare profile. Just wondered if possible and what the other side effects of changing the profile were?
Nic Day
i am interested in this as I run 185 70 13 on a 6'' rim at the front and 205 60 13 on a 7'' rim at the back. The only reason I went this way was because I changed to 13'' wheels from 16'' ones and did not have the adjustable platforms to change the ride height. I can agree that the 205 60 are rare and expencive - but what else can I put on a 7'' wide rim to give the same profile as near as damn it to a 16''??? I only ask this as I am now getting through rear tyres quickly and this will get worse now I have a shinny new LSD!!
