robmar
Thinking of having some 8" not 8.5" MB rims made up, anyone knoe if these will fit with the standard over the top rear ARB 🤔 I have tried 8.5's and the clash as many have discussed... I am assuming MB will be able to make 8" rob :S
david nelson
Rob i run 7 1/2 rears and they fit without any problems. You will just need to change the either the out or inner section. If you have 6 1/2 rims then IIRC its 5" inners and 1 1/2 "outer. when i get home i will have a look and e-mail you. David

robmar
yep but they don't fit with the over the top ARB, so options is go for 1. underslung one 2. freestyle adjustable 3. none 1 and 2 are additional cost and 3 isn't really an option this is becuase of the assumption that I need/want wider rears for next (this) years competion rob
Rob Walker
Rob, Yes they will fit. What you do is mount the drop links on the inside of the ARB blades to give extra clearance. Rob
Gambo
Been running 8.5 Barnby's with over the top bar for couple of years now. No problems. Â RED 2.0 HPC 230BHP

Jason Plato
I ran with 8" MB's . Take the 1/2" off the inner rim section and then you have space . The latest dedion also allows an extra 7mm of offset clearance. I dont have enough clearance with 8.5 " rims and the arb arm / bolt rubs the tyre wall. You cant use the rear most (softest) setting of arb wth this setup as it rubs the tyre with 8" rims   here is C7 TOP Taffia Area Rep
