Site Manager
We've had a similar problem recently with Farmer Terry. I can see from the log that a message was sent yesterday at 17:02, and was queued for delivery by a hotmail server. Can you check whether they're being picked up by your spam filters? Edit to say similar events at 12:36 today Barry Edited by - Site Manager on 4 Jan 2007 16:53:
Fathead
I've checked my blocked mail settings and cannot see anything to do with blatmail or LSCGB etc (sorry not sure what email address blatmail comes through) Also even though some things are blocked - porn, viagra offers etc things should still be sent to my junk mail folder - blatmail definately doesn't arrive there (i've checked) how did you sort farmer terry? Tom The most southerly uk blatter 😬Yellow 1.6 Supersport 😬 Photos here
Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted January 4, 2007 Area Representative Share Posted January 4, 2007 Blatmail does tend to end up in my "Deleted Items" file, but that is a problem at my end, where my settings believe it to be spam despite no intent on my part. GJT Crossflow 524 star of the show
knowley
Hotmail does seem to block email sent from websites I've run in the past, normally phpBB based forums... maybe blatchat is on their hitlist now
Cornholio
I seem to get it OK to my hotmail account
Site Manager
In Terry's case, his ISPs mail server was inserting SPAM into the heading, and I believe that Terry had set his mail client to delete such messages. Messages frm Blatchat are sent through the following addresses: registrations@ private.mail@ mailsender@ I've just checked our IP addresses, and they don't appear to be blacklisted anywhere. Additionally, hotmail servers do seem to say that they are queueing the message for delivery. Anyone know anyone at Hotmail that could check what's happening to messages that we send there? jingars
Ah - as I am on PlusNet I wonder if that is why I am not getting Blatmail? Thanks, Steve - I will change to another email address in my profile and see what happens.
jingars
Yep - works a treat when directed to my Yahoo! account. Naughty old PlusNet - I get enough crepe in there to know that they don't filter spam!
Violet Elizabeth
Hotmail does seem to block email sent from websites I've run in the past, normally phpBB based forums... maybe blatchat is on their hitlist now  They had the same thing on another forum I used, meaning that if you registered with a hotmail address you didn't get the authorisation link message. That was a php vs hotmail thing as well and from a quick google it appears fairly well reported.
