I think there's quite a lot of used Minis around at the moment, so used private sellers need to be quite sensible on price. Gusto went to his local BMW/Mini dealer and they were chocca with used stock - ended up buying a new '07' Cooper for not much more than a used 'S'. Still very desirable little cars though. Good luck.
