Tom White Posted March 14, 2002 Share Posted March 14, 2002 Could anyone point me in the right direction on a publication which covers the basics of modern engine management systems. Many years ago I used to spend a lot of time repairing, rebuilding, and tuning TR6 and 2.5PI engines which was fun, but involved no computer based management system. I have owned a VVC for two years now, and would like to understand a bit more about how the various sensors around the engine interact and how they effect the tuning. Any ideas?????? John Hughes Posted March 15, 2002 Share Posted March 15, 2002 Haynes have just published a book on this very subject by Dave Walker therefore has quite a bit about Emerald systems but also explains the basics including tuning carbs. It also has a free CD rom attached so you can 'play' at varying settings for the "Emerald M3D" ecu on a mock Elise & see the results. On Amazon for about 16ukp I think.
