This is a rare opertunity to buy a complete top spec proven high performance 1.8 K engine installation. The engine produces 232Bhp at 7785 rpm and 161lbft at 6800rpm.

 

Scholar EVO2 block bored to 1800cc Accralite Forged pistons

Farndon EN40B steel lightweight crankshaft, fully crossdrilled&balanced

Farndon EN24 steel con rods fully bushed little ends

ARP big end bolts

Vandervell VP2 big end bearings

Trophy main bearings

R500 steel oil pump rotor.

Fully ported VVC head with Colisbro valve guides

Satur uprated head gasket and steel dowels

REC 32.5mm wasted stem inlet valves 28.5mm exhaust valves

Piper VVC blanking kit

Piper vernier pulleys& uprated cam belt

Piper1227 steel billet inlet cam , 1227 exhaust cam

Piper solid followers

uprated double valve springs and steel retainers

Jenvey direct to head throttle bodies

90mm trumpets & 18mm spacers

ITG domed airfilter and back plate

The following ancillary parts will be offered FIRST the the purchaser of the engine as I would prefer to sell the whole installation and would be happy the install the engine into the purchasers car .

 

Caterham full dry sump kit Gold Pump , including bell tank&conning tower, all hoses,catch tank ,clutch arm £1250. SOLD

Caterham 421 exhaust system with lightweight re-packable silencer £500 SOLD

Caterham catalytic converter for the above (ten minutes use only) £400 SOLD

The engine was fully rebuilt in March 2006 with a brand new Scholar block to the latest spec ( the liners can be machined out to give 1900cc ) New pistons and rings, new valves,follwers,valves springs, all bearings,clutch. The head has been machined to take Piper 1440 cam profiles so very silly power is possible should it be required.

 

The engine has had very little use this year and is in tip top condition, it is still in my car and can be tested before purchase.
