webers, scoops, and airfilters

My series III with 1600 xflow and twin webers has traditionally run with just the airhorns and no air filter. There is a scoop that passes over them with very little clearance. I now want to put on air filters. Does anyone know of any small perhaps semi-spherical filter that could be clipped over each air horn, or any other filter that would not extend past the hors by more than 1/2 an inch or so. Also, how important is the length of the horn when used with a filter. I've been told that with webers the length is a specified ratio of the diameter.

All help is much appreciated.
