black screen & stanchions

Hmmn.

I think I vaguely recall a thread (and probably dismissed it as "even more work"!) *confused*

The ali stanchions would powdercoat OK.

The surround is chrome. Would they powdercoat?

How hard is it to get a screen in and out?

Andy,

The screen surround is also alloy and powdercoats fine too. Very easy to remove the glass from it. If you remove the screen from its stanchions and move aside the rubber sealing strip on the base piece, you will see two screws that when removed allow the base section to be removed from the surround.

The difficult bit it getting it all back together when a second pair of hands makes it a bit easier to juggle with the slippery seal (use a bit of fairy liquid)

Gulf Blue - it doesn't make any difference whether its heated or not if you are careful *thumbup*

Thanks for the info Nick. Sounds reasonable. I will have a long think...

Plenty of time.....

There is a long list of work to get the rest of the car back together right now!

You interchange your brooklands with screen dont you?

Andy,

Generally I leave the Brooklands on my car most of the time but occasionally do change back if kids are to come out on a long run with us as they complain that wearing a headset and sunglasses hurts their ears!

Cheers
