right, this car will be available for sale from this weekend, at which point I'll take lots of photos, build a website, post it on Pistonheads, ad in Autotrader etc etc

 

but for a possible quick sale and knowing it'll go to a good home I thought I'd post it up here first

 

car is 100% standard VW 1991 (ie late model) Mk2 Golf Gti 16v. Alpine white, 5 door. Original but excellent condition, owned by VW nut (me!) for last 5 years. Standard 'big bumpers', bee sting aerial, BBS alloys, rainbow interior. Later models also had revised intake manifold, larger front disks and uprated master cylinder.

 

same power and rev limit as 1.6K Supersport 😬 although with a little more weight...

 

All the history and receipts you could ever hope for, all MOTs, tax discs, service books etc. Continuosly maintained including VW oil and filter every 6 months. Work in the last 5 years includes: all front suspension mounts including top mounts, engine mounts, 4 Sachs dampers, head gasket, valve stem seals, cam timing chain, timing belt + tensioner, full VW exhaust, exhaust gaskets, water pump, p/s pump, radiator, gear linkage, front discs, front wheel bearings x2, all cv joints (new not exchange), rear wheel bearings, fuel pump, fuel filters etc etc

 

tax and MOT'd

 

110k fully documented

 

Original 6 speaker layout but with custom fit uprated speakers (incl JBL at rear), Sony head unit with remote joystick and 10 CD boot mounted changer (no bass boxes or holes in parcel shelf).

I used to own one of these a few years ago, and still wish i'd never sold it. They are great cars

don't tell me that! the audi diesel barge towing car on my driving isn't much of a replacement for the golf.... hopefully the grads car will even things up though 😬

 

forgot to mention the golf has thatcham cat 1 alarm and immobiliser with remote central locking

Used to have a black one of these, 5dr 16v too. Second best car I've ever had... 944 next for me though.
