Terry Field
Working in the garage with the 7 outside. The bonnet was resting in the cockpit when a bl**dy great gust of wind picked it up and threw it down the drive. Result - no structural damage, but lots of deep scratches! So. what will it cost me for a re-spray (standard Caterham green), and where should I go for the re-spray? caterhamnut
No question IMO - give Tony at TSK a bell - 01322441604 If nothing else it is a first port of call as far as getting a cost goes, to compare with anyone else, and he should know the colour! Myles
I would seriously consider a new bonnet if I were you unless you are within convenient distance of TSK/whoever. They aren't hideously expensive (£150ish?) and would save some of the cost/hassle of shipping yours around the place. 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 Alcester Racing 7s Equipe™ 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 Alcester-Racing-Sevens.com
John Griffiths
I just did the same and Panel Pride of West Hythe did a super job (I had a dent as well) for £200 and this included matching the original Porsche Lapis Blue metallic.
Unclefester
Are they that much Myles? I thought Jon Vickers told me £120 but I'm suffering from "vague recall syndrome" so may well be misremembering again......... catastrada
I recently bought an ex-race R300 that need some painting job. We ordered some new parts (4 wings, 1 nose, 1 scuttle, 1 bonnet...) Obviously CC has difficulties delivering the bonnet these days. We ordered the items 5 weeks ago and the bonnet is still not here and CC cannot commit to a delivery date... Terry Field
Thanks for the replies! TSK are just about in striking distance of work so it makes sense to use them. Only problem is that when I rang them a recorded message tells me they are ' not accepting calls from anonymous callers' and not to withhold my number . Trouble is, I am not in control of the phone system, so I can't do much about it! I can't use my mobile at work either ❗ Terry 1700XF - Team Lotus with flares. Terry Field
Dave, I told the recorded message who I was, but she didn't seem to take any notice Terry 1700XF - Team Lotus with flares.
Whiz-kid
Try Hendersons in Peworth. Used them for my tin tops without complaint, but more importantly they are specialists in Aluminium doing lots of work for the local Ambulance Service vehicles. Tom's a top bloke and they are reasonably priced.
Davey Bee
Tony at TSK, if you get home before 7pm try calling him. It's worth it and I'm sure that you wont regret the effort. R600 VX here
