Ian Barkley
I am stripping my new chassis kit ready to go for painting on Monday could you help with the following? The rear fog and reversing light cable connectors don't want to come through the holes in the back of the car as the fuel tank is too close... should I: 1. take out the fuel tank? - seems a big job - is it? 2. cut the holes in the aluminium skin bigger? 3. cut the bXXXXy wires and solder them on afterwards? Also, if I unscrew the two tornaeu cover poppers on the top of the dashboard will little nuts drop into oblivion? or are they caprive? or are they self tappers? Any other advice?? Thanks Ian B
Fred
i think they are self tap but you can get to them under dash ok and just cut the wires at the rear and then reconect solder is 100% fredid=blue> smile.gif

millsn
Once you've got the floorboards up you can access the fuel tank straps. It is possible to drop the tank out though the floor if you haven't fitted the crash kit, but it's a bit scray that all that fuels knocking about when you do it.
