John Howe Posted March 9, 2002 Share Posted March 9, 2002 Anyone on line for a quick reply... just about to drop the engine back in and I've relised the waterpump hose that feeds the heater is smack in line with the scavenge pipe from sump to pump, but with a little over an inch in which to turn through 90 degrees. Peter Carmichael Posted March 9, 2002 Share Posted March 9, 2002 It is very tight. You need to trim the right angle hose so that it turns sharply without constriction. It isn't a 'girlie' hose, by the way. It is the bypass circuit and it is absolutely imperative that there is unrestricted flow around the circuit as this flow cools and prevents hotspots in the head before the thermostat opens.
