Nifty
I have bought some wing mirrors for my Mini on eBay and they have turned up with what might be lots of specs of paint on the glass. If I take T-Cut to the glass to clean the paint off will it damage the glass 🤔 (Please don't tell me to just pack them up and send them back I'm having that argument but the seller has suggested I try the T-cut approach. If it will work then I'm better off keeping them). Keep off the straight and narrow 😬
peterg
Shouldn't be a problem. T-cut polishes up relatively soft paint OK so wouldn't have thought it would affect a mirror glass
Bob Corb
Yeah, it works nicely, I'm cleaning a set of 42 yr old VW windows right now.

Nifty
Thank you very much, it worked a treat *thumbup* Just wonder why he didn't say they had paint on the glass Keep off the straight and narrow 😬
elie boone
Would you have bought them for that price then ? that is prob. why
Nifty
Since they have cleaned up easily the price I paid isn't a problem .. £16 + £5 postage. I have pointed out to him that he should have made it clear that they had paint spray on the glass and he's sort of acknowledged it. Mick Day
T-cut or indeed metal polish won't hurt glass. Done this many times in the past when overspray has appeared on the windows. However be careful if the front surface is silvered, as on some plastic mirrors, as this will remove the reflective surface quite rapidly.
