NickB7
Does anyone know a good place to get ballast required to get to minimum weight limit in the midlands? I need 11-12Kg. I noticed some of last years cars have blocks on the passenger side cross member thanks S31VEN
F355GTS
Nick We used to use rolled roofing lead on our racing Karts, You can get it from any builders merchants and it's easy to shape, drill, bolt down etc Once shaped and sized we used to wrap it in Duck tape for handling purposes! Martin H
Might be worth trying your local scrap metal place. I got some rolls of roofing lead (as described above) for absolutely nothing!
pie_boy69
You could always let me drive as I am sure that your car would then meet the minmum weight limit. Keith Pickering now superlight lesssad.gif
NickB7
thanks for all the info - looks like builders merchants or cake shop to find this extra weight then! I will check scrap metal place though as free is always better! S31VEN

WILL FLY
You could always try some used Diving weights, they probably come in about 2kg lumps so you could spread them to keep the weight low. Alternatively I can give you 100kg of high volume ballast i.e. ME smile.gif Roy See willfly.net for more info. If you don't spin you ain't trying smile.gif
NickB7
i got some diving weights from a friend but attaching them without drilling them seemed a bit difficult. apparently the lead sheet can be bent to the shape of the floor so i will try to get some of that!
