I have picked up another 711m block to undertake an engine rebuild.Could some one explain what the number T9 means cast into the block. The engine in my supersprint has the number T12 cast into the block. Is this number significant? What is the difference? Is there a better block number to have?I am unable to afford the ax block. Thanks for any advice.Bullman

AFAIK, the 'T' number is significant only with the 681 type blocks where early / low 'T' numbers generally indicate more material around the bores. I've never seen mention of the 'T' numbers significance WRT to 711 blocks, I have a long diatribe on pre-xflow and xflow blocks here somewhere if anyone wants a read.
