drB Posted October 17, 2006 Share Posted October 17, 2006 well, the clearout continues! found a few motoring books that might be of interest: 1) Stirling Moss: The Authorised Biography, Robert Edwards, 357pp, full colour, hardback. Bit embarrassing this, this book has been sitting in my cupboard for a while but I've never turned a page. So, apart from a couple of small marks on the cover pretty much as new. £10 + £8P&P (it's pretty heavy) 2) The Power and the Glory, A Century of Motor Racing, Ivan Rendall, 240pp. full colour, hardback. Accompanied the BBC TV series of the early 90's. The full history of motor racing 1900-1990, a little bit 'TV light' but pretty comprehensive and lots of colour plates. Excellent condition. £4 + £5P&P 3) Grand Prix Greats, a personal appreciation of 25 famous Formula 1 drivers, Nigel Roebuck, 220pp, hardback. This is a great book written by the former GP editor of Autosport, covers a wide selection of drivers from Amon, Clark, Moss up to Villeneuve, Prost and Senna. Not a factual account of each driver but really an inside view of their achievements and motivations. Really good! £5 + £5P&P Also got a 2001 Goodwood FoS cover signed by Rene Arnoux and a 2005 programme signed by Jacques Laffite which I'll throw in free with the first two books.
