Rubber lubricant

Brooksy

Recommended Posts

About to change my front anti roll bar and having searched through the archives it looks like, given the small amount needed, I might be able to get away with fairy liquid to fit the bushes rather than having to buy rubber lubricant.

Does this sound right?

KY is rubber safe as it is water based. That's why it's so good for (ahem) personal use. Vaseline is not rubber safe therefore not recommended for this purpose. Having said that most contraceptives are no longer made of rubber because some people were allergic to the latex, so IIRC they are now made from polyurethane.

Whatever floats your boat Alex *wink*

For putting in bushes, working on brakes and all sorts of other jobs where rubber needs to be lubed safely 😳 I use this stuff here. It should take a while to get through half a kilo . . .
