Anyway.... er yes it is or more correctly was the home of 'Old Speckled Hen' until Greene King closed it all down and moved the brewing process to wherever they brew ALL their beers, somewhere in Suffolk or Norfolk which I can't remember at present. The_ASH Posted October 9, 2006 Author Share Posted October 9, 2006 It was quite funny at the time as Greene King were rumoured to be interested in Morland and then suddenly Morlands shares were worth so much that it was rumoured they were looking to take Grene King over, eventually things swung back the other way and now the brewery is a trendy housing development ☹️ with nothing available for less than £350k. GK seem only to be interested in marketable brands so i'd guess many of the smaller brewers would be spared unless GK are particularly attracted to them. Ashley Webster.
