oil temp gauge

My dash is set up for a windscreen although I run an aeroscreen , so instead of instaling another 2 way switch for the oil / water guage I used the redundent winscreen wiper switch - just unclip the block connector and attach the new wires to the rear of the switch using bullet connectors .

Of course if I were to put the windscreen and wipers back on I would have to clip the block connector back on .

I have a dry sumped Xflow, and would like to install an oil sender...but the tank does not have a port to install it. I have seen the 'in line' versions, that you install into an oil line..but are they any good, and which line do I use, pre/post oil cooler, tank to pump????

Hello Robster,

My dry sumped x/flow has the temperature sender in the remote filter housing (a MOCAL fitment). Not sure if this is the best place but its easy and its where RatRace put it.

I also used the water temp gauge with an indicator switch.

Cheers,

Peter
