Chelspeed Posted March 1, 2002 Share Posted March 1, 2002 One option is to use a 2 way switch (like the indicator switch) and use this to connect both the water temp and the oil temp to the water temp gauge. Jason Plato Posted March 2, 2002 Share Posted March 2, 2002 My dash is set up for a windscreen although I run an aeroscreen , so instead of instaling another 2 way switch for the oil / water guage I used the redundent winscreen wiper switch - just unclip the block connector and attach the new wires to the rear of the switch using bullet connectors . Robster Posted March 2, 2002 Share Posted March 2, 2002 I have a dry sumped Xflow, and would like to install an oil sender...but the tank does not have a port to install it. I have seen the 'in line' versions, that you install into an oil line..but are they any good, and which line do I use, pre/post oil cooler, tank to pump???? Baby Bucket Posted March 2, 2002 Share Posted March 2, 2002 Hello Robster, My dry sumped x/flow has the temperature sender in the remote filter housing (a MOCAL fitment). Not sure if this is the best place but its easy and its where RatRace put it. I also used the water temp gauge with an indicator switch.
