Simon.Rogers1
Darren - no sorry If any one can help us. Darren writes directly from his camera to a dvd recorder. My PC just sees this as a blank disc? My MAC just spits the disc out and won't even let me browse. HELP Mr Angry if you keep posting you soon won't be a Novice any more. What implications does this have for the coming season. Will we have to exclude you from this forum and start a new class for you. 😬
Support Team Shaun_E Posted October 18, 2006 Support Team Share Posted October 18, 2006 Simon, I'm no expert on this stuff (just play around with Pinnacle a bit) but couldn't you just use your video capture software to capture the video from the disk. I assume you have checked that the disk plays in a normal DVD player. Yellow SL #
DSL
Shaun, this is one of the first dvd recorders over 4 years old .They must of changed the format on the more recent ones as it will play pre-recorded disc's but its recording's don't play on modern equipment
robmar
so XX thousands on the busa and you skimp on the video recorder
Support Team Shaun_E Posted October 18, 2006 Support Team Share Posted October 18, 2006 Darren - that's weird. Early DVD recorders usually only recorded one format but most modern players can read just about any format. Yours isn't a DVD-RAM by any chance? See here. Don
I find CD-RAM s don't get recognised, but CD-R s do - could be the format. I should imagine it'd be a bit blurry anyway from Darren's viewpoint
Simon.Rogers1
Shaun All my kit says there's nothing on the disc other than the MAC which just spits it out.
Support Team Shaun_E Posted October 18, 2006 Support Team Share Posted October 18, 2006 Guess it is just the format then. If Darren confirms it is DVD-RAM then I doubt anyone else can read it. Of course we are all assuming that he didn't have a blonde moment and there is actually something recorded on the disk 😬. Yellow SL #
DSL
Windy, your dead right it is dvd ram *thumbup* Shaun, I can definately confirm 8 individual action scenes on the disc, shame Simon can't get them to play as I recon there might be a scene from my adult section on there too 😳 😳 That would definately be a blurry one Windy 😳

Adrian Williams
Darren Use your DVD player/recorder to play back the disk and record it onto the camera, then send Simon the tape. This assumes Simon's camera runs the same tape. Adrian
