Nifty
Just contemplating investigative surgery before installing the R400 in my car. Were these built with plastic dowels? Did Minister check the liner heights when they were built, i.e how prone to head gasket failure are they compared to a standard K series? Any other areas of weakness I should consider ? Keep off the straight and narrow 😬

TopQ1967
Nifty, I have a R400 in at the moment as well (former race engine - Minister). No problems until now, but started a new topic at this forum with the same issue as well. Cheers Q.
Rob Walker
I have changed a couple of R400 head gaskets and they have both had plastic dowels.
