DaveMorris
In the vain hope that someone has bought a set and then been put off using them by some of the comments/threads on here, OR ALTERNATIVELY, has a good quality set that they no longer need. Best to blatmail me, Dave X-flow(er) powered
Peter T
😳 Rocking horse poo rings a bell Dave. Good luck, avoid early versions with small needle roller bearings. R500 Mango Madness
DaveMorris
Peter, likely to be like rock horse poop second hand I agree. BUT .. .. .. Brand spanking new - None at Burtons, None at Titan Any other ideas ? Dave. (oops - just let everyone know it's a sellers market 😳) X-flow(er) powered
Peter T
Why do you want these then? They really do not offer any big gains over a standard set up? R500 Mango Madness
DaveMorris
Reduced sideweays load on narrow valve stems on a reasonably lumpy cam. Trust the guy who recommends this to me, also trust him being able to set them up properly. Worst case is a dead top end and a rebuild (and I've been there before 😬) Dave
Peter T
Cheaper to have a rebuild than Roller rockers, also use the best valves and guides to eliminate wear. Don't forget roller rockers need regular servicing too Dave. R500 Mango Madness
DaveMorris
Already made up with (IIRC and can spell the names rights) Colcebra guides, Isky springs, Paul Ivey valves etc. Fitting a Newman cam which is a bit more "fun" than the current 244 and builder recommends rollers to minimise the stresses on the valve stems. As to cost - I think that I've got past caring What monster motor are you running at the moment? Dave

DaveMorris
I saw the sig but thought that I'd seen a post where you were selling (or had sold) the R500. Anyway. Thanks for keeping this at/near the top. Might have to see if anyone else supplies rolers other than Titan or Burtons. Peter T
No i decided to keep it for the time being, maybe a CSR might tempt me, but not until all the issues are sorted with it. R500 Mango Madness
