Morls
My uprights, trunnions, steering arms hubs and brakes are reverting back to iron ore after decades of storage, a trunnion is also bentsad.gif. But...I now have new brakes and only need the rest. Anyone got some as-new bits cluttering up the spare room and hence going for a song? With all these wide track convertees there must be some bits left over? Also, while I'm still undecided between Ford and Ital axles I'd consider either if ready braketed / braked and at the right price. Anyone changed to Ford and storing the Ital bits? Mike C
Mark, My hubs are the cast iron type. Regards Mike
Morls
I've tried HT but they want to keep their Ital axle as a template for the bracketssad.gif. So...I'm still open to offers from the spare axled. Mark Edited by - Mark Jackson on 28 Feb 2002 20:34:
Morls
After a proper disassembly, degrease and wire brushing, I think my uprights are actually going to be OK, I was wrong about the bent trunnion pivots, mistaking the tightening when rotated for distortion. I hadn't realised they were on a screw thread, (duh..), assuming they were pressed on. So I'd saved some money...until I spent it all last night in the pubsmile.gif. Still looking for an axle tho. Morls
Which only leaves 2 possibilities; 1) Set into vodka jelly and eat it. (might loose spoon once drunk). 2) Intravenious drip. (support rack would be awkward in pub). Nope can't think of a workable alternative.smile.gif Mark
Coose
Fill the bath full of ale and then lay in it. There is then always the possibility of soaking it in through the skin. I assume that there will be someone here with a much greater medical knowledge than me who will put me in my place!! wink.gif Cooooooooooooooooose
Morls
Is that place a bath full of stella, clutching a tattoo gunquestion.gif Mark
Coose
Mmmmmmmmm....... sweet, nourishing stella.... Or, the other option is steak & (lots of) ale pie! Then you can eat it and there'll be nooooo chance of you ever dropping a pie, drunk or sober! wink.gif
Morls
I actually have frozen steak and ale (Guiness, no less) pie filling stored in the freezer next to the Jusroll fozen pastry, I've started making an ovenfull at a time. True. Mark
