Have I told you about my CB,

No,

Well I'm going to.

I had a 40 watt (max legal was .4 watt) cb unit with an amp which multiplied output by 10.

It had all the sidebands as well as the 40 cb chanels. I could listen to fisherman off Florida and on some good days they could just hear me.

Driving along the Holloway Rd early one morning a young Policeman steps into the road and stops me. "Just checking Sir, I notice you have a CB arieal", "Yes officer, is there anything wrong?", "No just checking to se if it's legal", I point down to this huge set with an enormous amp with heat sink screwed to the side panel by the pedals. (the set was 12" x 3.5").

"Thats OK Sir, everything seems fine, mind how you go"

🤔 🤔 🤔

More confusing than Anthonym

Impressive setup Norm *thumbup*

Had a GP 17 (17 foot ally dipole) on a 40 foot scaffold pole in my back garden which cleared the roof of the house VERY well 😳 and a nice 20 watt burner thank you very much.

Gave it all away when i was 14 after it had been struck by lightning once too often! Hehehehe 😬

CB's are still quite popular over here. I am tempted.....used them all the time at university when were out on the 'prowl' for totty in our student cars (escorts, Morris 1100's etc. - real pulling motors 😬).

The only problem is if I say 'rubber duck' in French I think I might get twatted by someone *eek* 😬 😬
