Gnasher2
Yes this is another I can’t believe I’m selling it advert. ☹️ My 1991 SuperSprint (Gnasher as he is affectionately known to us) has been a source of massive fun for the last 3 years but the time has come to move on to pastures new. This Seven owner’s club member will have a tear in his eye as it departs. And my two sons who thought it would become an heirloom may have to be sedated. Gnasher has had a charmed life with us and over the last 3 years been maintained and improved by tailors motorsport in Haverhill who look after a good deal of track and road based machines. Specification 1700 XF twin 40 dellortos 5 speed gearbox De Dion rear axle Limited slip diff Dry sumped Oil cooler Roger King bottom end Steve Parker Racing Big (very!) valve head Steve Parker Racing cam Lightened Racing flywheel FIA role bar FIA ignition cut off S type leather seats Cycle wings version Driver and passenger 5 point harnesses 13 inch minilights with Yokohama AO 32 tyres super soft compound (good tread all round) Complete set of spare ACB 10’s included (a bit more twitchy but great grip) Combined ignition and starter switch (Big red flip cover style and yes I know you don’t actually need one but hey, it’s my toy!) Currently running Genuine Caterham Aero screen, mirrors etc but all the parts for a return to the more boring screen, doors, hood etc. Over the past 18 months the car has had many thousands spent (big receipt file ready for inspection) to ensure that everything is as it should be. This has included Complete engine rebuild New clutch New Alternator New distributor New Coil New leads New battery New tyres 4 new wings New seat belts Brake overhauls Suspension overhauls Gnasher enjoys early morning runs and being let of the leash Gnasher never fails to put to put a smile on my face (along with hundreds of dead flies) even if it is just a drive to work. Give me a call and I can bore you to death on how brilliant this car. Red SLR
He has 7k to spend right now so its nowhere near. He is in the process of building a new garage so hoping to come in under budget which might give him a bit more to spend so might give you a shout in a few weeks.
