Normans_Ghost
.. script for a post for new members, A sort of guided tour around BC. Who's OK, who's not, who's mad and who's sane (not many) As well as all the usual welcome stuff. So, I'll start with. Chit Chat for the arguments, Tech Talk for the ???? When we have all hsuggestions we can write it up in one thread and C&P as a welcome response. Normans_Ghost
GJT, I meant something a bit more personal and from us rather than official from the club. Along the lines of, "beware of a terrible disease called upgraditis, it is easily transmitted through the keyboard. Delbert carnt spill and Paul is a pevert of the highest order. Kev thinks he's different, he is he's Welsh! Rosss is a Scottish snotty person and Norm's always taking our money. The annual Le Mans trip is a must but only if you can drink 300 of those little beer bottles in 5 days." Etc, I thought we might all add someone/something in a similar vein. Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted September 10, 2006 Area Representative Share Posted September 10, 2006 Also: beware of Wile's Disease and Hoopyosis! My treatise on this problem would have to be my erudite contribution. TBH: If I was Barry and writing a welcome note such I suggested elsewhere I would draw a veil over the Sheds - if they find us they will either run away or go barmy. Delbert
Actually when I started with BC it was the Sheds that meant I stayed using the Forum after I had bought ZeNA. The stuck up GoGs etc upstairs really put me off the club as a Newbie I felt inferior and funnily enough other than one noteable AO it was Shedders who I met first and involved me.. I tend to treat the Sheds in the same way as the" Idiots Guide to Caterham" or for those of us of an older age "Blatting Made SImple" When I get the mean reds the only thing to do is jump in the 7 (
Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted September 10, 2006 Area Representative Share Posted September 10, 2006 Del, similar but in reverse - I thought the shedders were a bunch of wierdos until we went to Switerland... Normans_Ghost
GJT, thats why I posted in this little shed, this sort of thing's not for mature adults 😬 Come on, must be more to add than this. What about decking? Are we not going down this road? Delbert
Norm. I feel that the Decking question is well covered in the archives. I have a man who will travell to Deck any thing where there is a suitable justification. Over inflated gardens a speciality 😬 When I get the mean reds the only thing to do is jump in the 7 (
Normans_Ghost
OK, I can now add .... "GJT is a pedant, beware of Innocent Bystander who isn't innocent and we all know who it is, and Devils Advocote is everything but" Come on you lot, I'm doing all the work on this.
