Snapper Posted February 21, 2002 Share Posted February 21, 2002 I am setting up Aces Shift 2 light system for the first time on a Caterham Superlight with a 1600K Supersport engine which tops out at 7600 revs. Question: Should I set it to the following settings? A) Shift up at 7400revs? B) First of the 5 light set to 6600 revs (200 rev intervals)? C) shift down at 1800 revs? Any advice from you experts is well received.. Alex Wong1697456877 Posted February 21, 2002 Share Posted February 21, 2002 Sounds ok except shift down - I'd put that at about 5000rpm. You don't have to obey it but it will show you which corners you could consider for a gear down. Even with a Vx, things start to bog down much below 5000rpm.
