AndrewD
The car is a May 99T SLR. I was having some trouble engaging gears and Caterham kindly adjusted my clutch (it wasn't engaging even with the pedal fully down). Now I notice that when I push the clutch pedal right to the bottom, there is this odd rattling noise. It disappears if I bring the pedal up slightly from bottom, and otherwise everything else seems ok. Any ideas? Thanks Andrew
Rob Walker
Doesn`t sound right, could be the release bearing has separated from its plastic back plate. Its normal to hear a rumbling of the input shaft which disappears when you depress the clutch but not the other way around sorry.
Graham Perry
If its had a single plate AP type race clutch fitted, doesn't this rattling come as standard ?
